Kravet Ethics Seminar

Today I attended a seminar at the Kravet show room given by Tom Swank. The focal topic was about our ever-changing work environment and how each generation interacts with one another. What I found interesting was that most of the previous groups felt that the upcoming generations do not have good work ethic. One thing he pointed out that I happen to agree with is that it is not the work ethic per say but the way the new generations work is different from the prior age group. He talked about Baby Boomer, Generation X and Y and how we can “align” the generation not bridge the “gap”. Each generation has a lot to offer and we need to take time to learn from them. There is always room to learn new things and when we stop learning is when we stop living. There is a Hebrew Proverb that states, “Do not confine your children to your own learning for they were born in another time.” I think that sums up how we can “align” the generations perfectly.
